There is something for everyone in this attractive corner of Norfolk, be it on the farm, the immediate vicinity or slightly further a field.
The barn sits amongst farmland, areas of wilderness and water with access to boats on the river at Horning (1.5 miles) and Wroxham (3.5 miles). Nature reserves neighbour onto the farm, Alderfen Broad a nature reserve since the 1930’s and How Hill a national nature reserve, both can be accessed or viewed from the circular on-farm walks.
To the north is Barton Broad which has a board walk across an alder carr habitat which culminates at a viewing platform looking across the broad. Nestling amongst the trees and swamp at Hoveton (2 miles) is BeWILDerwood, a curious family tree house adventure.
Beyond the farm the beaches of east Norfolk (11 miles) provide stunning walks and traditional family days on the beach, with an opportunity to see seals.
Norwich (12 miles) offers a wide range of history, culture, activities and culinary options.
Heading north from the Broads are the National Trust properties of Blickling and Felbrigg Halls, parks and gardens which are on the route to the north Norfolk coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
